Phillip Purdy-Ewing

Has been creating paintings for over fifty years. He was hugely inspired by Bob Rayner (art master) at Beaumont Boys Secondary Modern School in St.Albans, and went on to study commercial art at Watford Technical College. Phillip's art has, and continues to, run alongside a professional career in the construction industry which has taken work and family from the Home Counties, West Country, Midlands and North East to a quiet Suffolk village, with its massive skies and magnetic coastline. He works using household paints and chemicals to create powerful visual effects which allow the viewer's imagination full rein.
